STORY: Meaning “mutual assistance,” the Abateraninkunga ba Sholi (or simply “Sholi”) Cooperative was established in 2008. Located in the Southern Province at the center of Rwanda, Sholi Cooperative originated from a women’s association called Kundwa, which translates to “love” in the Kinyarwanda language. Currently about half of Sholi’s are women, including two of the five board members.
The women’s association still maintains two plots of land which together include over 6,300 coffee trees for harvesting and production. Sholi Cooperative currently has 400,000 coffee trees planted and continues to invest in long-term agricultural development. Community investment is also a primary focus for cooperative members, The Cooperative received its Fairtrade certification in 2015 and Rainforest Alliance certification in 2016, and Organic certification in 2020.
As always, every bag sold provides a meal to someone in need through 2nd Harvest.

SO YUMMY! Shoutout to Jacalyn for bringing me these beans & getting me HOOKED!
The coffee is excellent. I will buy again..
One of the best coffees I've ever had. If you like a lighter, sweeter, more complex coffee, this is a nice coffee to try.
So good
Love it!
