The Heritage & Impact of Sholi Cooperative

Meaning "Mutual Assistance" in Kinyarwanda, the Sholi Cooperative was founded in 2008, growing out of a women's association named "Kundwa" ("Love"). Today, women comprise over one-third of Sholi's membership and hold key board leadership roles. The cooperative continuously reinvests coffee premiums directly back into community health, youth mentorship programs, and local healthcare infrastructure.

Cultivated at impressive elevations up to 1,800 meters, Sholi's coffee cherries are meticulously hand-sorted, dry-fermented, soaked, and dried on covered raised beds and solar dryers. Their dedication to quality produces high-scoring lots that showcase some of the finest, most complex citrus and floral profiles in East Africa.
